LIBRARY ROOF DRAIN REPLACEMENT — REBID
(Sayles Library Drain Redesign & Interior Plaster Repair — Construction)

PURPOSE
The City of Pawtucket is soliciting sealed bids for the construction phase of the
Sayles Library drain redesign and interior plaster repair project. This solicitation
is a REBID. Prior bidding did not result in an award; packaging, bonding, wage, and
insurance completeness are critical.

SCOPE (summary)
A. Demolish existing interior storm-drain piping as shown in the bid set
B. Install new interior storm-drain lines
C. Fire-stopping, insulation, drywall, trim, and painting to restore finishes
D. Hydrostatic testing of new drain lines
E. As-built documentation for City acceptance
F. Coordinate permits, inspections, and approved subcontractors

KEY DATES
• Pre-bid meeting: July 22, 2026
• Questions due: August 5, 2026
• Sealed bids due: August 13, 2026 (late bids rejected)

MANDATORY HIGHLIGHTS
• Bid surety ≥ 5% of bid price (bond or certified check to the City)
• Performance & payment bonds ≥ 100% of contract price upon award
• Rhode Island prevailing wage + certified payrolls
• CDBG / HUD Section 3 acknowledgment on bid forms
• Insurance with City named additional insured where required
• Bidder responsible for all addenda after the pre-bid
